The County – Prince Edward County is so much more than a tourism region.
My name is Dwayne Brown and I live and work as a commercial photographer in Ottawa Ontario, and I’ve been coming to Prince Edward County for several years now working on tourism imagery for The Great Waterway tourism authority. Every time I visit The County, I’m just so taken with the beautiful rural landscapes, the inclusive and small town community feel, the food and wine experiences – and mostly the friendliness of the people.
There’s just so much to love about The County, and I know everyone has their own special reasons why they do. So I thought I’d create a fun and positive project that would allow me to ask the question “What do you love about The County?” And I’d get to photograph all kinds of interesting people in the process – how cool is that!?
The loveTheCounty project is designed to build upon the positive and friendly nature of the region and to shed light on people, businesses, culinary events and initiatives that are doing great things.
So I’ll be heading out and around the The County to pose the question and convince folks to let me take their photo. I’ll be looking for people who live here, work here and people who are just visiting Prince Edward County – anyone and everyone!
